Project/Database Coordinator for CGHR - Bangalore , India
- Job Description:
- Successful candidates should be able to
perform the following tasks and will have proven experience:
- Technical and operational
inputs for survey management
- Operational management of
data entry of manual surveys along with quality control checks
- Data Analysis
- Periodic Coordination and
interface with various partners
- Documenting
- Program management: keep
a track of the deliverables attained and the time spent in hours by each
member, dependency issues etc.

Skills, Qualities and Experience Required
- Good
organizational skills, an eye for detail operational processes, and an
understanding of the importance of accuracy/quality in scientific work
are also required.
- Data analysis and
data mining experience using SAS/STATA/SPSS, SQL and other data mining
tools.
- Strong conceptual,
organizational, project management and presentation skills
- Be able to work
independently and with a minimum supervision.
- Candidates should
have at least 3 years or more experience in these areas would be
preferable;
- Good communication
skills

Additional knowledge and skills preferred
- Knowledge of health care systems,
medical/ epidemiology terminology and ICD-10 classification would be
an asset
- Understand quantitative methods as
they apply to health information.
- Knowledge and skills about
creation of quality advanced graphics for scientific reports and
journals

Educational Qualification:
- Bio-statistics/Related Degree offering skills in operational
management or M. Sc. Statistics having exposure to Database

Job responsibilities:
- Management of
large community based data from all parts of India.
- Importing and
exporting data from /to different data management systems.
- Match and link
different database with varying structures and trouble shooting.
- Manipulate
database for merging, sorting , matching and transforming
- Update database
to correct errors and define and review programming edit checks
- Routine back up of
database, maintaining data standards , analyzing and tuning
database
- Developing and
establishing data, consistency checks and other quality control
measure necessary for the final analysis
- Writing database
documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for
data dictionary.
- Track study
progress and issue periodic reports.
- Communicating
regularly with technical and others operational staff to ensure the
database integrity and security.
- Creativity in
developing data and initiative
to determine the content of the data
quality checks independently;
- Collaborate with
database team in the development and maintenance of data
- Collect metric data on the data
management functions and run monthly summaries and graphs.
