You will be one of 400+ skilled physicians who will be coding the causes of deaths across India. The MDS is run by the CGHR India Foundation (www.cghr.org), and affiliated with St. Michael’s Hospital (University of Toronto) and St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences in Bangalore, for the office of the Registrar General of India, Government of India. The study will improve knowledge of the causes of deaths in India, which in turn will help in the prevention of diseases.

Physicians will be responsible for web-based review and coding of mortality reports. Requirements include the following:

  • Fluency in English and at least one other Indian language
  • Ability to use computers
  • Secure access to high speed internet for 8-15 hours work per week (working hours are flexible)

For your contribution, you will be paid for each record coded. Those who complete 1000 records at high quality will receive a certificate from St. John’s/CGHR.

Interested physicians may apply through this recruitment survey.
