Excess Mortality Symposium

The Excess Mortality Symposium is a hybrid assembly for international and Canadian scientists, clinicians, students and researchers to discuss the epidemiology of infectious diseases, with a particular emphasis on methodologies for excess mortality estimation in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The panelists and presenters are influential practitioners and decision makers of their fields. This event invites international speakers to give in-depth talks, alongside shorter presentations by several Canadian scientists, followed by panel and group discussions.

The Excess Mortality Symposium aims to assess the current public health and medical systems tracking infectious diseases in Canada and worldwide.
