Trends in snakebite deaths in India from 2000 to 2019 in a nationally representative mortality study
Snakebites killed 1.2 million Indians over the last 20 years, 70% of which were in just eight states, and much of which were during the rainy season. This study can help achieve the WHO goal of halving snakebite deaths by 2030.
